The Otto Fire Department held a groundbreaking event Feb. 24 marking the start of a $2.8 million construction project. Attending were firefighters, past and present, and family members, as well as Roger and Richard Wright of Wright Construction.

The founding members and their families in attendance photographed are, from left: James (Punkin) Wiggins and his wife, Susie; Bill Williamson; Kathy Fountain (whose husband, Kevin Fountain, is the current fire chief); Pauline Stiwinter (whose husband, Morris, who died in 2021, was a founding member); Terry Bell; and Gail Stiwinter (Morris and Pauline’s daughter).

And we know that to them that love God, all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.
