FHS athletes sign with colleges; wrestlers recognized

Staff

FHS senior Emma Ledford (Pictured top) signed a letter of intent Feb. 24 to play volleyball with Earlham College in Indiana. 

FHS seniors Lily Holt and Aaron Dewhurst signed letters of intent Feb. 28 with Bryan College in Tennessee. Both will play soccer for the college, and Dewhurst will also run track.

Garrett Young and Carrie Holland were recognized recently for their achievements on the FHS wrestling team. Garrett (below) received a plaque for making history as the first freshman wrestler in FHS history to qualify for the state tournament.

Carrie (below) was recognized for her accomplishment as the first women’s wrestling conference champion in FHS history. Their plaques will be displayed in the school’s trophy case.
