Peace officers Memorial Day and Police Week is observed annually in May in the United States to honor local, state, and federal peace officers who have died or who have been disabled in the line of duty. Many in the Franklin community paid tribute to officers during a ceremony at the Gazebo. Officer Jonathan Lauffer and Sgt. Matt Bingham of the Franklin Police Department (below) held flags during the event.
