Duke Energy and Haywood EMC stated in your article (see Aug. 14 edition) that neither company uses Roundup as a vegetative management tool. I wonder how they could say that with a straight face. They state they use Rodeo, which contains glyphosate “to control various emergent and woody plants in aquatic and other non-crop areas.” Pick up a bottle of Roundup and you will find that glyphosate is the main ingredient. They are the same thing with a different name.
