The annual ARTFEST debuted downtown, away from its normal library location, and the creativity was flowing from Town Hall to the Gazebo.
Presented by the Uptown Gallery/Macon County Art Association, with support from community sponsors including Renee’s Cake Shoppe and the Franklin Downtown Merchants Association, the free family-friendly event took place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Designed to inspire creativity and make the arts accessible to everyone, ARTFEST invited community members and visitors of all ages to participate in hands-on art activities, interactive demonstrations, and take-home art projects throughout the day.
The event serves as both a celebration of the arts and a fundraiser supporting arts education and programming in Macon County.
Families and friends gathered to paint, make dragonflies, design chalk art in the street, eat ice cream and otherwise enjoy an artistic array of activities.
