The Varsity girl’s volleyball team continued its dominant performances this week against Kings Mountain and East Henderson by sweeping both teams 3-0.
While the season is still very young, this Panther sweep streak is impressive and shows that coach Bekah Brooks’ team could be set for a memorable season.
Kings Mountain
On Tuesday, the Mountaineers rolled into Franklin on a losing streak, and the Panthers kept that going for Kings Mountain with an impressive 25-11, 25-17, 25-11 performance.
Improving to 4-0 on the season, the team seems to be rolling through its competition with relative ease.
Another shining moment above all was the stellar play of Bristol Brooks, a junior (pictured below), who reached 1,000 assists for her high school career. The team celebrated with a special memento and group photo.
East Henderson
The sweeps kept going this week as the Panthers took on the winless East Henderson Eagles on Thursday.
In a performance that was truly dominant, FHS beat East Henderson 25-4, 25-6, 25-9.
In this game, the girls never let off the gas, though the Eagles did string together a few points in the third set.
