What Defines Us ?

It’s become obvious we really don’t know what it is to be human, we seem lost in just who or what we are. Sexually, we can be whatever we like, even being non human, like in a cat or dog. We even have some in leadership and our courts that can’t define what a women is? It’s almost to a point we’ll need to start dropping our drawers to prove who we truly are? “Pun intended”.

Humanly speaking, this sadly has infiltrated all parts of life, politics, sports, even religion. Life seems like shifting sand looking for something solid we could anchor ourselves and our children too, instead of unending nothingness.

It’s obvious we need something outside ourselves to feel a purpose and value of our self existence. Our obsession with money, material things, AI, religion, political parties; this is where we find ourselves. Empty and adrift looking for meaning and value of life itself.

Yet, for some reason it’s instilled in each of us to find this yearning that beckons us, and no one can explain “why”, but we all know it’s there. Many will attach themselves to what will bring attention to themselves while bringing others down, a warp self worth of sorts. This seems to be found in every aspect of life, but are often at the expense of others.

Evil or selfishness brings all life towards a worthless value, it destroys ourselves and those we love. The pursuit of “Good”, builds up, it brings worth to life. This is where truth,  justice, integrity, freedom,  rights that are self evident, finds its firm footing, not driven by the shifting sands of time.

Confusion is what we battle, but how do we discern or combat what’s so evident? Endless political systems have come and gone, yet we look for that something, but we have no idea what that something is. Any change seems better than what we have; so once again we ride the continuing shifting sands, and often pay a heavy price for what we choose.

As a young man, I saw a world in rebellion, and like now as then, no one can answer what we’re to aim for. A “self” in search for meaning in drugs, internet, sex, political and material things is this a path to Nirvana, or a better life? Life is more confusing than ever. Enlightenment, world governments, war, humanity’s search seems adrift, searching for anything too anchor to.

I’ve discovered chasing external things seems a disappointment in finding the deepest satisfaction of just who and what I am. Finding the deepest meaning that overshadows both the outside but more the internal side of a peace that is not found elsewhere. The Divine within me, the Christ, is the most secure foundation that surpasses all my understanding. From His creation through His conquering death, it is more than this world could ever give me. I find no other answer to our human dilemma. Chase if you will, as I have, but my only hope for me and my family is this Divine One…Christ..the foundation of my world.

And we know that to them that love God, all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.
