Stephen Carpenter: 1954 - 2026

Mr. Stephen Carpenter, 71, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Stephan was born December 7, 1954, in Macon, NC to the late Andrew Carpenter and Tina Cochran Hall who survives.

He worked in landscaping and tree service. He loved life, was hard working, and loved being outside. He enjoyed fishing, being around animals especially dogs. He was a member of West Franklin Baptist Church.

Survivors include his companion, Jeanette Holmes; his mother, Tina Cochran Hall; and a brother, Doug Carpenter and his wife, June.

In addition to his father Stephen was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Hedden.

A private family service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery.
