The Town of Franklin is frustrated to have to once again share that Sunnyside Park has been vandalized.
This time, the still under construction restroom building walls were soiled with feces.
The marks can be removed, and the building properly cleaned and pressure washed; however, in addition to the supplies and contractor/subcontractor time, additional costs may be incurred for repainting of the surfaces which was just completed on Friday afternoon.
“The Town has allowed the contractor to work on the weekends to try and expedite the opening of the play area and completion of the restrooms. Actions such as these only delays the opening further,” said Town Manager Amie Owens.
Cameras around the site are being reviewed by the Franklin Police Department to assist in identifying the individuals who have defaced this building.
