Deloris Arlene Barnes: 1979 - 2026

Ms. Deloris Arlene Barnes, 46, of Highlands, NC passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Deloris was born October 23, 1979, in Clermont, Fl. to the late Allen Bennett Barnes, Jr. and Roberta Talley Barnes.

Deloris worked at Gruntworks in Franklin, The Outpost and Mountain House in Highlands, NC.

Deloris was a sweet and very loving person never meeting a stranger. She had a great love for the Lord and people.

She also loved the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include three sisters, Decora Jakobi (Scott), Deborah Drinka (Austin Brandt), and Doris Barnes; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church in Tuckasegee, NC. Burial will follow in the Shook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bryant-Grant Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
