James Edwin Conner: 1944 - 2026

James Edwin Conner, 82, of Franklin, NC passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2026. James was born on July 11, 1944, in Jackson County, NC.

James is survived by his children Mike (Cheryl) of Franklin NC, Kim Davis (Scott) of Raleigh, NC. Four grandchildren Harrison, Kennedy, Madison, and Taylor, one great grandson Emerson James. James is also survived by his siblings, Wanda Powell of Tuckasiegee,NC, Nancy Akin of Asheborro, NC, Johnny (Joanne) of Cleveland, OH, Donald Conner (Bee) of Cullowhee, NC and Danny Conner of Sylva, NC. Also several nieces and nephews.

James was proceeded in death by his parents Joe and Christine Conner and several brother and sisters.

James was known by the nickname "Daydreamer". James was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and a jack of all trades. His passion was Nascar. You could always find James after retirement in his yard working on anything with a motor. James loved his dog Jack. James was known for his kindness and would give you the shirt off his back.

James had many family and friends and he will be missed greatly.

Grave side services with be at Tuckasiegee Baptist Church Cemetery in Tuckasiegee, NC at 1pm on Monday, November 2, 2026.
