The beauty of winter weather in the Smokies

Although snow came a little late for Macon County to have a white Christmas, many were happy to see the white flakes falling and then accumulating all throughout the region.

The last time Macon County experienced any accumulation was the winter of 2022. More flurries and accumulation are possible in the coming week.

The following photos were taken by professional photographer Mark Krancer, whose book “Photographic Memory” was recently published, provided an array of snowy scenes – from downtown Franklin to the rural landscape to the Little Tennessee River. See more at Kram Kran Photo
