Early to bed and early to rise
I see this life flash before my eyes
Those nights out spent throughout the week
I get the same comfort now at home asleep
Am I washed up? Is this just a phase?
As I think about this my eyes form a glaze
The energy that was seems now as less
As most of the time I just want to rest
Even on weekends I prefer to stay home
I used to enjoy things like Clingmans Dome
Have I reached my peak, passed my prime?
Can I bounce back, is there still time?
It’s a state of mind, this I know to be true
Motivating myself is what I need to do
I need some help to move beyond this
There’s a lot out there I don’t want to miss.
