The Zonta Club of Franklin, a member of Zonta International and the only Zonta Club in North Carolina, is a group of professional women who work to build a better world for women and girls. Zonta believes women’s rights are human rights and advocates for gender equality in education and leadership, an end to gender-based violence, eradication of human trafficking, and a stop to child marriage.
Zonta Club of Franklin focuses on bringing scholarships, leadership education, and more opportunity to girls in Macon County. The sponsor of the Macon Early College’s Z-Club, a student-led organization, Zonta Club of Franklin offers annual scholarship awards in four categories: STEM, Business, Leadership, and Aviation. Zonta Club of Franklin is also launching the SheEO Leadership Experience, a 5-day summer program for middle school girls designed to teach leadership skills and connect girls to female leaders in the community, this June.
