Robert Hicks

Robert Hicks: 1940 - 2026

Robert Harrison Hicks, 85, passed away May 14, 2026. He was born in Macon County, Nantahala Community, August 28, 1940, to the late Rev. Edgar Hicks and Catherine Hicks. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Arthur and Martha Jane Waters Hicks.

Robert was of the Christian faith. He worked for many years in the timber business as a saw worker. Robert liked guns and working on them, and in his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Crystal Levinar; an infant sister and brother; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Passmore; and a brother, James Edward Hicks.

Robert is survived by his children, Teresa Levinar (James), Pamela Parrish, and Larry Hicks of North Carolina; two brothers, Bobby and Mitchel Hicks of Franklin; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive. Robert will be missed by his family.
