William “Bill” John Shaw: 1949 - 2026

William “Bill” John Shaw, born September 5, 1949, in New York, passed away on May 21, 2026, at Angel Medical Center.

At the age of 18, Bill joined the service alongside his brother and proudly served as a member of the Seabees during the Vietnam era. After completing his military service, he made his home in Franklin, where he lived for more than 40 years.

Bill was a man who found joy in hard work. He owned and operated his own business, helping neighbors and friends with appliances, building projects, plumbing, auto repair, and electrical work. His dedication to his craft and his community was a defining part of his life. He was also a devoted parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Franklin.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

Bill is survived by his wife of ten years, Carolyn Razulis Shaw; his children, Mary Amanda Alcocer and Zachariah Shaw; and ten grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Tien Duong officiating, followed by inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery with Military Honors.
