Bobby Cabe Brabson

Bobby Cabe Brabson: 1943 - 2026

Bobby Cabe Brabson, 82, passed away on May 23, 2026, at Angel Medical Center. Born on November 10, 1943, he was the son of the late George and Madge Cabe.

A man of few words and a steady, gentle spirit, Bobby found joy in the simple things. He and his wife, Marie, were faithful members of Coweeta Baptist Church for many years. Bobby proudly served in the United States Army, and after his service he worked as a lineman for the phone company in Clayton, Georgia, for 27 years.

Bobby loved spending time outdoors. His favorite days were those spent fishing, hunting with friends at the deer camp in South Georgia, camping, sitting on the front porch, and being surrounded by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Madge Cabe and one granddaughter, Sarah Bradshaw.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 62 and a half years, Marie Brabson. They were married on his birthday, November 10, 1963. He is also survived by his three children: Daniel Brabson, Debbie Adams, and Carol Ann Sheffield (Eddie); six grandchildren, Lisa McCrackin, Jack Bradshaw, Josie Brabson, Hayden Brabson, Kelsey Elders, and Lauren Harrell; and seven great‑grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th, at 11:00 a.m. at Coweeta Baptist Church with Reverends Keith Ashe and Davis Hooper officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 27th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Macon Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Hayden Brabson, Greg Bell, Michael Chastain, Aaron Lamb, Jamie Chastain, and Kenny Chastain.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Justice, Dan Elkins, Roy Chastain, Larry Shope, and Gary Brabson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
