Local Legends will feature up to 30 local authors, artists, and creatives showcasing and selling their work directly to the community.

Location: Macon County Public Library
The event is presented by Fenix Rising Press and the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy, with the Macon County Public Library serving as in-kind venue sponsor.
Attendees can enjoy a Vendor Bingo card with prizes, a Sasquatch-themed scavenger hunt for kids, a kids art station featuring button making, bookmarks, and coloring pages, and live entertainment to be announced. A Back to School Supply Drive benefiting Macon County Schools will run throughout the event.
Confirmed vendors include Nita Lipan of Fenix Rising Press (Featured Author), Jeremy Brooks (Comic Artist and Author), Matt Gauck (Visual Artist), A.J. Trimble (Author), Madison Traviss (Author and Artist), Anjelica Childs (Author), Nicole Vaughan of Wicked Weeds Apothecary
(Apothecary and Creative), and Dance Arts Co-Op (Community Sponsor and Vendor). Additional vendors are being confirmed weekly. Vendor spots are $25 and applications close July 1, 2026.
Founding sponsors Kelly Penland of Realty One Group and Dance Arts Co-Op have already committed their support. Community sponsorships are available starting at $50. The Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy serves as fiscal sponsor and presenting partner.
