Grover Ray “Bodie” McCall: 1949 - 2026

Grover Ray "Bodie" McCall, Jr. 77, passed away Thursday October 1, 2026.

Bodie was born May 15, 1949, in Rabun, Co. GA to the late Grover Ray McCall, Sr. and Della Lucille Keener McCall.

Bodie was a graduate of North GA Tech and served in the US. Army and Vietnam. He went on to work for the Town of Highlands in the electrical department. He later worked and retired from Potts Construction after many years.

He loved to fish, hunt, and watch NASCAR. He was a member of Goldmine Baptist Church .

In addition to his parents Bodie was preceded in death by his wife, Leeann Schmidt McCall; and two daughters, Cynthia Ann McCall and Samantha McCall.

Survivors include his spouse, Loretta Zachary; three sons, Johnathan McCall, Christopher Ray McCall, and Clarence James "CJ" McCall; one brother, John McCall and wife, Julie; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Goldmine Baptist Church Fellowship Building with the Rev. Gary McDaniel officiating.
