Alice Josephine Curtis: 2026 - 2026

Alice Josephine Curtis was welcomed into the Arms of Jesus, Monday, September 14, 2026.

Alice Josephine Curtis, but we called her AJ. We knew her for 9 months in the womb, the ultrasounds showed us her movements, hair, ten fingers and toes. But she was fighting her own difficulties, and her outcome was always in question. AJ grew in bonding with her mother Sarah and father Seth, as well as each family member. Her birth and beginning of life lasted for about 50 minutes, but how precious those 9 months and 50 minutes were for each of us. In her short time with us, she showed us each the importance and value of life itself.

Prayers went out for our little AJ by many who only knew her from a distance. Her life was given to her and shared by her parents and brother. While the prayers didn’t heal our precious little girl, the prayers themselves were a healing and comfort to those involved, especially for Sarah and Seth, the parents of little AJ. AJ will always have that special place in each of our hearts, until we unite as a family once again in the eternal hope we all share with our savior Christ, who’s the giver of life itself… on earth, but more so in Heaven.

She is preceded in Heaven by her siblings, Joy and John Benjamin, great-grandparents, Joe and Becky Bridges, Wenona Curtis, Keith Curtis, Barbara Shepard, and Claudie and Bill.

She is survived by her loving parents, Seth and Sarah Curtis, her brother, Luke, great-grandfather, Paul Shepard, grandparents, Deni and Wendy Shepard, Joey and Missy Curtis, her aunts and uncles, Garrett and Emilee Higdon, Aiden Shelton, Kore Newman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 at Biltmore Church at 7:00 PM with Rev. Derek Olson and Rev. Gary Hewins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, at the church.
