Marcia Osteen: 1950 - 2026

Ms. Marcia A. Thornal Osteen, 75, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2026.

Marcia was born June 6, 1950, in Tampa, Fl to the late Burton Thornal and Mary Wilson Thornal.

She worked as an accountant at Friends and Family Tax Service. Worked at at group home in Arcadia.Fl. and a newspaper writing several news colums for the Yoursun at the Arcadia Paper. She won many awards for her writings.

She grew up on a ranch with horses and had a great love for them and cats.

Survivors include her daughter, Sierra Osteen of Franklin, NC; and several close friends, Jasmine Schrichten, Renee Glass, Ellen Swafford, Sandy McMahan, Dale McMahan, Marty Pope, and Betty Waldroop.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
