Pamela Swymer Majors: 1949 - 2026

Pamela Swymer Majors, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Grandview Manor.

Born on November 5, 1949, in Tampa, Florida, Pamela was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Ikylee Swymer. In 1980, she made Jackson County, North Carolina her home, where she built a life centered around her family, her career, and her deep love for the outdoors.

Pamela earned her Associate Degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician from Southwestern Community College. Her dedication to caring for others was evident throughout her 25-year career as a medical lab technician at Angel Medical Center, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

An avid lover of nature, Pamela was happiest when surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. She spent much of her free time hiking, camping, traveling with her family, and capturing the world through her passion for wildlife photography.

In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold O. Majors, who passed away in 2018, and her three sisters: Virginia, Sylvia, and Sandra.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa Duff and Jennifer Majors; her cherished granddaughter, Niki Duff; her precious great-grandson, Leo Fernandez; and several nieces and nephews who will dearly miss her.

At this time there are no formal services for Mrs. Majors.
