Rosa Lee Williamson “Rosa Lee”: 1934 - 2026

Rosa Lee Williamson "Rosa Lee", 92, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was born April 29, 1934, in Macon County to the late George and Lola Hastings Jones.

Rosa was a homemaker; she loved the Lord and her family. She also loved her cats Buddy and Rip. Her favorite things to do were spending time with family, watching Me TV and collecting dolls and ceramic birds. Earlier in life she was an avid hand stitched quilt maker. She attended Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Williamson of Sylva, NC; her son, Charles Williamson (Lydia) of Franklin, NC; daughter-in-law Betsy Shepherd (Kent) of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Grant Williamson (Cheyenne), Brent Shepherd (Nicole), Brandon Webb, Tammy Justice (James), Ethan Hitchcock, Jana Hitchcock, Michelle Williamson, and Amanda Vernon (Robert); thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Emerson Williamson, her son Alton Emerson Williamson; eleven siblings and her beloved dog Misty Rose.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 2, 2026 at Burnningtown Church of God at 2:30 PM with Rev. Don Bates officiating.
